Effective Leadership Academy partners with Lorain County nonprofit for Connect to a Cause Day on September 17
ELA will kick off the giving season to raise funds and awareness for teacher professional development
Warrensville Heights, OH – September 16, 2020 – Effective Leadership Academy is dedicated to supporting educators as they cope with continuous stress and anxiety. On Thursday, September 17, ELA will partner with the Community Foundation of Lorain County to participate in Connect to a Cause Day, a crowdfunding campaign. ELA’s goal is to raise funding to provide free social-emotional wellness training to educators across Northeast Ohio.
Donors will have 12 hours to make their online donations. Those who wish to donate to ELA can visit effectivela.org/news/c2c and click “donate” anytime from 8:00 am – 8:00 pm on September 17.
The funds raised through Connect to a Cause Day will go directly towards ELA providing its fast-paced, interactive professional development programming to local school districts and education professionals in support of their social–emotional wellbeing.
“We are excited to participate in Connect to a Cause Day so that we can provide additional support to our educators who are the foundation for the success of our children,” says Flo Brett, ELA Executive Director. “By providing social–emotional support to educators, we are ensuring that students have the positive learning experiences they need, regardless of the educational environment they are in.”
And, thanks to the Community Foundation Board of Directors, an additional $40,000 will be distributed amongst the participants.
“Connect to a Cause Day is an opportunity to support our non-profits that truly support our community,” said Brittany Lovett, Marketing & Communications Officer at Community Foundation of Lorain County. “For 12 hours, organizations and individuals will rally to support amazing and important causes that make Lorain County a great place to live, work and play.”
