JOB DESCRIPTION

Full-Time Operations Administrator

Effective Leadership Academy (ELA) partners with schools and youth serving community partners providing students and educators with a rigorous curriculum for 21st Century Skills development, reinforcing essential social and emotional and work force development skills.

POSITION:

The Operations Administrator is a trained Effective Leadership Academy (ELA) team member whose primary function is to support the Director of Operations and ensure that scheduling of programs and ELA day-to-day operations run smoothly and efficiently. The Operations Administrative Coordinator will perform a number of administrative support and customer service tasks to ensure efficient planning and implementation of ELA programs and the office environment.

In addition, the Operations Administrative Coordinator will serve as a key communicator between the ELA team and school/community partners regarding details around programs, materials and equipment, proposals, invoices, and program impact reports.

EXPECTATIONS:

  • Schedule ELA programs within ELA Outlook program calendar and facilitator calendars.
  • Set up virtual programs within Zoom.
  • Build relationships with school and community partners through communication via email, phone, and occasional in-person meetings.
  • Manage the tracking of all program and client data in a CRM system.
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate records, documents and reports.
  • Update program flyers for specific schools.
  • Review and edit program impact reports before they are sent to clients.
  • Maintain regular and open communication to report any potential and/or current issues with the ELA Director of Operations.
  • File and organize digital records, invoices and other important documentation.
  • Monitor and maintain office supplies and materials.
  • Organize meetings, including scheduling, sending reminders and organizing catering when necessary.
  • Assist with the facilitation of ELA programs as needed, both in-person and virtually online.
  • Participate in ELA training and professional development.
  • Attend all ELA staff meetings.
  • Work collaboratively and bring a positive mindset to teamwork.
  • Creatively problem-solve and bring new ideas for efficiency and growth.
  • Collaborate with ELA staff on a variety of daily administrative tasks and special projects.

HOURS OF WORK:

The Full-Time Operations Administrator position will be 40 hours per week. Hours are generally set as either 8am – 4pm or 9am – 5pm. Flexibility within these 40 hours a week will be needed at times. This includes adjusting schedules occasionally to work on programming that begins before 8am or ends after 5pm.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associates degree, Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • 2-3 years of administrative assistant or office management experience

JOB DESCRIPTION

Full-Time LEAD Facilitator

Effective Leadership Academy (ELA) partners with schools and youth-serving community partners providing students and educators with a rigorous curriculum for 21st Century Skills development, reinforcing essential social and emotional, and workforce development skills.

POSITION:

The LEAD Facilitator is a trained Effective Leadership Academy (ELA) team member whose primary function is to facilitate all ELA programs.

In addition, the LEAD Facilitator will work with designated school partners to build strong working relationships, coordinate existing programs, and strategically continue to expand these specific relationships/contracts to ensure that ELA remain fiscally strong.

EXPECTATIONS:

  • Responsible for delivery and facilitation all of ELA programs; CLUB LEAD, CAMP LEAD, Transitions, LEAD’s, Chamber, and other key ELA programming, delivered both in-person and virtually online.
    • Program delivery typically averages 50% of weekly schedule and at times can be up to 75%
  • Deliver programs employing ELA divergent learning pedagogy, serving as “guide on the side,” to enable students to construct meaning from their experiences.
  • Manage the classroom and participants during training by tracking attendance, addressing inappropriate behavior, and documenting performance, both strengths and development needs.
  • Administer the pre/post assessments and develop program impact reports.
  • Form relationships with students and build community and rapport, motivating and inspiring them, giving them confidence to make positive choices in their lives for success in school and beyond.
  • Maintain positive relationship with students, teachers, school administration, and depending on the program, parents and/or community members.
  • Maintain open communication to report any potential and/or current issues with ELA Director of Operations.
  • Responsible for all administrative tasks related to program/program preparation, including preparation of program materials/program review/updating PowerPoints to adjust for time and school language.
  • Participate in ELA training and professional development.
  • Attend all ELA staff meetings.
  • Work collaboratively and bring a positive mindset to teamwork.
  • Creatively problem-solve and bring new ideas for efficiency and growth.
  • Collaborate with ELA staff on a variety of daily administrative tasks and special projects.

Job Description

TITLE: Marketing Intern (Unpaid)

REPORTS TO: Marketing Director

POSITION: Become a member of an excellent team as a marketing intern for Effective Leadership Academy (ELA). ELA programs are geared toward middle and high school students with a rigorous curriculum for 21st Century Skills and address the critical issues that relate to social and emotional learning. Under the supervision of the Marketing Director, the marketing intern will collaborate with the marketing team in all stages of marketing campaigns and help develop, expand and maintain marketing channels.


EXPECTATIONS:

  • Learn about ELA mission, programming, impact, and non-profit administration
  • Collaborate with the Marketing Team to brainstorm and execute projects
  • Create year-round editorial calendars for social media and email marketing
  • Draft, request approval, and schedule year-round social media posts to increase online presence
  • Engage on social media with other accounts
  • Create and monitor Google Ad campaigns
  • Proof marketing materials and website to ensure clear communication
  • Design and send mass emails to subscribers (email marketing)
  • Stay up-to-date with marketing best practices, resources, and contacts (networking & marketing research)
  • Assist with administrative tasks related to customer relations
  • Attend all ELA training and when available, attend ELA meetings
  • Assist as a co-facilitator for ELA programming when needed
  • Collaborate with ELA staff on administrative tasks and special projects outside of the marketing department


HOURS OF WORK:

Up to 15 hrs/week for month of August

10 hrs/wk for September 1 – May 30

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Undergraduate student majoring/minoring in graphic design, marketing, advertising, journalism, public relations, or general communications
  • Committed passion to making a difference in the lives of youth
  • Willing to learn and use feedback to improve skills
  • Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Strong time management skills and ability to handle a variable schedule
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Team player with high energy and positive mental attitude


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Beginner/Intermediate experience with Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and/or Illustrator
  • Beginner/Intermediate experience with iMovie and/or Adobe Premiere
  • Frequent use of Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and more.
  • Knowledge/experience with B2C and B2B social media marketing with Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube
